How is volume weight calculated?

Weight
Fees are based on the total actual weight or total volumetric weight of all items in a shipment, whichever is greater. If a shipment's weight exceeds the specified tariff weight by a fraction of a kilogram, the next higher tariff weight applies. The weight of a multi-piece shipment for tariff purposes is calculated by adding its actual weight or its converted volumetric weight, whichever is higher.

Here's how you calculate volumetric weight for expedited shipments:

L x W x H
———— = Bulk density
5000

  • L = Length in cm.
  • B = Width in cm.
  • H = Height in cm.

Here's how you calculate volumetric weight for general freight:

calculate rumbleL x W x H
———— = Bulk density
6000

  • L = Length in cm.
  • B = Width in cm.
  • H = Height in cm.

We reserve the right to amend these rules in accordance with air transport standards. If the weight declared on the waybill is found to be incorrect, we reserve the right to issue an invoice for the difference. These charges do not include surcharges or additional services, e.g., charges for areas outside the service area.
