Rules of Customs Clearance

To ensure fast and secure processing, the appropriate documentation is required:
  • An invoice from the seller showing how much was paid for the item. If the item is purchased through eBay or other similar auction sites, in most cases it is sufficient to forward the PayPal receipt or a bank statement.
  • If a return is being made and the importer requests the waiver of import duties, an export declaration (Request for Inspection, „Form E14,“ confirmed by customs) must be submitted.
  • Other information that may be relevant to the case if it involves a sample, gift, or personal items.
  • Please note that the import of electrical appliances is not permitted if they are not marked with the (CE) marking. For more information, visit the website of the Postal and Telecommunications Authority.

Please contact our office by phone at 420 0900 or email information about the shipment to stopp@express.is to avoid delays.
